End Polio Now!
This project is being led by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which includes Rotary International, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and governments of the world, with the support of many others around the globe.

Polio was once a disease feared worldwide, striking suddenly and paralyzing mainly children for life. Cheltenham-Rockledge Rotary is a partner in the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, the largest private-public partnership for health, which has reduced polio by 99%.

Polio now survives only among the world's poorest and most marginalized communities, like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Africa, where it stalks the most vulnerable children. The Initiative's goal is to reach every last child with polio vaccine and ensure a polio-free world for future generations.

Rotarians have provided significant financial support for this initiative, as well as countless volunteers who have traveled to conduct national immunization days, giving the vaccines to all children five and under. Our club sells roses in the lobby of Jeanes Hospital every year with the proceeds being donated to Polio Plus.
